About the event
Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio will be joining the Amherst Rotary Club, Greater Cleveland Wild Ones and Webbedfoot Designs to establish a pollinator garden at Rotary Park in downtown Amherst. Free parking is available in an adjacent lot at the hospital with easy access from Spring St. Work clothes are highly recommended. Wear closed toed shoes and long pants are typically worn for this kind of work project. Be aware of the weather and dress with variability in mind. There is no shelter in the immediate area. The most useful garden tool to bring is a hand trowel. Garden gloves and a sun hat are recommended. A water bottle is advised especially if the weather is hot. Kneeling pads are especially useful (more so for adults) as most of the work is at ground level. No public restrooms or shelter immediately available.
